Story of Mangroove
Most men don’t hate fashion. They just… don’t know what to do with it.
It usually starts the same way. A wedding, a date, a random Friday night where suddenly “this will do” doesn’t quite do it anymore. You stand in front of your cupboard, stare at the same 5 shirts, and somehow convince yourself one of them will magically feel different today.
(It doesn’t.)
And yet, every man knows the feeling we’re chasing. That rare day when something just works. When you walk into a room and don’t think twice. When someone says, “that looks good on you,” and you pretend it’s nothing, but remember it for the next 3–5 business years. That feeling? Turns out, it’s not luck. It’s just really hard to find. That’s what Mangroove started to notice.
Back in 2023, Saatvik and Charu weren’t trying to “build a brand.” They were just curious. So they started traveling. No grand plan, no pitch deck. Just showing up in different cities, walking into studios, meeting designers, and seeing what was actually out there. And honestly? There was a lot. Pieces that felt fresh. Thoughtful. Unexpected. The kind of clothing that actually makes you pause for a second. The kind you don’t usually associate with men’s fashion in India. So the problem wasn’t a lack of good stuff. It was the opposite.
Everything was… everywhere. Different cities. Different stores. Different corners of the internet. Hidden unless you already knew exactly where to look. Which, let’s be honest, most people don’t. And that raised a very simple question: Why does discovering your style feel like a treasure hunt with no map? Why isn’t there one place where you can just walk in and explore? Try things. Take your time. Figure things out without feeling rushed, confused, or mildly underdressed. That question didn’t go away. So naturally, it turned into a problem. And then, into an idea.
That idea became Mangroove.
